24 Days Project :

24”, a 24-canvas installation, two works of twelve panels each, created in honor of those who lost homes, businesses, and irreplaceable memories in the Palisades Fire. Each canvas represents a single day when we hugged one another tightly, unsure of what remained. Alone, each piece is vibrant with unpredictable seemingly accidental hues; together, they form a portrait of the Palisades. The artwork symbolizes how, though scattered and displaced, the community remains bound by love, memory, and resilience. This piece, a reminder that what defines the Palisades isn’t what burned, but those who stood beside us. It holds us together now, and for every day that follows.

Panel 1 :

Panel One of “24” shows a surfer holding a guitar, looking out over the bluffs of his hometown—the Pacific Palisades. With Surfin’ U.S.A. lyrics and bold red 90272 numbers in the background, it reflects the town’s gentle yet fearless spirit. The vivid colors behind him are layered and full of unexpected movement. This piece is a mirror to the Palisades community full of stories, character, and charm.

Mural For Coliseum Elementary School :

After teaching a third grade art class at Coliseum Street Elementary School, I was asked to create this mural illustrating children’s aspirations in a diverse community. My choice to depict children of various ethnic backgrounds representing a wide range of occupations was meant to inspire the students to dream big, without limitations for their future. However, to convey the universal nature of the children, despite their cultural differences, I painted the background and their faces in the same dreamy, imaginary color. Only by looking closely at the contours of their features, can tiny specks of color be seen, alluding to their “Bright Futures Ahead.”

Panel Two of “24” features a vibrant map of the Pacific Palisades. Looking over it, the people that gave it life. This place was home to all kinds of unique individuals. What truly made it strong was the deep, genuine care every person had for their community. It was always the shared notion of love and connection that held it all together. Bright hues and the iconic 90272 honor a community rooted in unity.
